The beginning of the year saw Bakotopia start growing leaps and bounds - we changed up the Web site, added some new features, 1,000s of new users, and of course .. .the launch of Bakotopia magazine in May! Well, the magazine you hold in your hands is definitely due to your continued support of what Bakotopia is all about - uplifting life in Bakersfield as we know it. So many new connections were made at Bakotopia.com this year, it was crazy! Locals discovered they were in the company of people with mutual interests and talents. It was only a matter of time before new bands were formed, art shows were opened, parties were held, and theaters filled!
