About a month ago, I visited a local store and asked for a small U.S. flag - the kind you can place on your office desk. One of the clerks pointed to a group of crumpled up, sun-faded miniature flags sitting in a display can. I asked the clerk if they had anything newer looking - they didn’t, end of story. After a couple more trips around town and no luck, I was eventually directed to a local 99 cent store. I asked the clerk inside and they pointed me to a biker bandanna made out of the stars and stripes. Sorry, I’ll save that style for my bud Richard of the Bako band American Smogg - rock on homie. Kind of sad when you think about it. Had I wanted to buy a T-shirt with the flag of another country, I could cruise down to the mall and pick one up pretty easily.
