My name is Deedra Patrick. I have been singing professionally since I was 17 years old.. Basically, I dropped out of college and joined a rock band. Believe it or not, my parents didn't freak out. However, I would recommend continuing your education to my students. Not everybody gets as lucky as I did. I am thankful that I can make my living in music. Since I stopped touring I have been teaching privately as a vocal coach. This is a full time job for me, however, I still find time to continue writing and gigging. My band was in a severe car accident while touring in 1994. We were on our way to a show in Oregon. I was busted up pretty bad and ended up back here in B-town to recover. After three years of recovery, I decided to stay home for awhile. And well, I've been here every since.
