I'm the assistant managing editor for Mercado Nuevo, a subdivision of The Bakersfield Californian that publishes The Northwest and Southwest Voice, MÁS magazine, and Bakotopia. I previously served as editor of The Northwest and Southwest Voice. A Bakersfield native, I went to Our Lady of Perpetual Help and Garces High School. I attended the University of Southern California (Go Trojans!) and graduated in 2002. I love living in Bakersfield and in the Westchester area. I spend most of my time with my husband, J.P., my mom, Lynn, our cats, Aiden and Maitai, our puppy, Sadie, and my two best friends, Katie and Natalie.
