'm a grad. student @ USC focusing on Online Communities.  What Bakersfield has done with their site's features is amazing and I'd love to hear from users what they like the most.

I've spent a lot of time @ Lake Issabella and North so love the area.

I'm also interning at different interactive media news departments this summer so feel free to contact me.

What I'm most curious to hear is what features do users like the most?  What features offer the most interactivity and do users feel like that they are actually creating community in using such features?

PS:  My photo is from an annoying film production that took over my favorite park, Echo Park Lake, nearby where I live.

Check out the USC Free Culture link.  We have a great mashup - Copyfight On and the intl. student group movement link.  We're promoting such transformative change and it'd be great if any of the Bakersfield colleges would start a chapter.  Each one is self-run.

I posted some other favorite and class links.  I was lucky to study wth Cory Doctorow, a co-editor of BoingBoing (Set Top is that class' blog).  The Digital Pol. Communication blog uses some of the latest tools (amazing stuff like Video Bomb) from the Participatory Culture Foundation.
