My name is Pat Mahan.  I've been away from Bakersfield for a little more than 10 years. I still consider Bakersfield my home away from home, although it has grown so much since 1997!

I currently live on the central coast. I return to town once and awhile to play lead guitar with BLIND PROFIT. Check out some of the tunes on the Blind Profit profile!

 I'm married to my beautiful wife Sarah, and have no children except for two dogs and a cat.  We have been blessed with so much joy and happiness, along with some great friends and family!

I serve as a worship leader and as an evangelist  of the gospel of Jesus Christ. As a member of Rock Harbor Christian Fellowship of Morro Bay, my wife and I moved to Santa Maria from Los Osos in May 2007 to help our pastor and his family open a new church campus called The Journey Church. My wife is director of children's ministry and I serve as the worship pastor. We are currently holding one preview service a month gearing towards the actuall launch date of March 2, 2008. We meet at a local school. Planting a church is a lot of work, but worth it when you see all of the blessings and the doors that open from following  and obeying God's voice.

You see, in November 2004, I was saved by the grace of Jesus Christ. My life of drug and alcohol abuse, (and everything that goes with it) was instantly exchanged with the power and peace of the Holy Spirit. The Lord changed my life. Fear was replaced with hope. Joy and happiness replaced the pain and miserableness I felt. And God's love permeated my soul - replacing all of the hate and bitterness I once harbored.

Now, I use my music as an instrument of praise to my heavenly Father, the only true God, Creator and Sustainer of the universe. I still play other secular music, but God has revealed to me one of the main puposes for my life: A life of worship, and using my life and music to bring others into the throne room of the Lord most high.
