About BOXJUMPER
BOXJUMPER is a hardcore/punk rock band with many influences such as D.R.I., Black Flag, Circle Jerks, Slayer, and Agnositic Front. BOXJUMPER formed on Dec. 28th, 2005 and played their first show on March 17th, 2006 originally as a four piece with a more radio friendly sound in the early going, but after guitarist/vocalist Rob Shock left, the remaining members (Neil Perry = drums, Hamhawk = lead guitar, and Jay Kool = bass/vocals) decided to take the band in more hardcore direction. Jay Kool plays bass like Lemmy from Motorhead pounding the strings and yelling in the mic like that of Kurt Brecht from D.R.I., Hamhawk's guitar styling is like that of Tony Iommi, Jeff Hanneman, Randy Roads, and Spike Cassidy all rolled into one, Neil Perry's precision drumming like that of Neil Peart and the speed of Dave Lombardo or Igor Cavallera. BOXJUMPER is as punk as punk can be, taking no prisoners, and doing it their way. You can listen to the band's music by going to www.myspace.com/boxjumperpunk.
