About Holly Gomez
HOLLY GOMEZ
Holly Gomez is a singer / songwriter from Bakersfield, but grew up in the small town of Wasco, CA.
When Holly was a little girl, she would sing and write songs, as well as plays, and musicals, performing to all the neighbors, family, and friends.
Her love of music began at a very young age. Growing up listening to a lot the '60s & '70s music her mother listened to, along with anything else she could get her hands on, from her own generation.
As Holly grew, she continued to develop her love for music and the arts on guitar and piano. During her 7th grade year of school, she began putting music to her own original songs.
Holly continues to evolve musically. Her music is a fusion of acoustic folk rock, alternative rock, having been influenced by such artists as Tracy Chapman, Bruce Springsteen, and Tori Amos - although it at times it delves into electronic / trance, and hip hop.
Look for her at local venues, radio events, and Theatre.
Holly enjoys working with other artists as well, and supports local music, arts, and culture organizations.

Looking for local talent to spotlight. Send in an application.
Bright House Networks is producing a new music show for Bakersfield on Demand channel 300. This show will be called “Coffee House Unplugged” and will feature solo artists from Bakersfield and Kern County. We are currently looking for solo artists for our first tapings on December 1st and 2nd from 1pm to 8pm. We are not looking for specific genres of music but would like to limit it to artists that would normally perform solo at a coffee house or similar venue. We are assuming that most performers will be playing acoustic guitar but if you play a mean set of bongos with beatnik poetry that would be acceptable as well. To be considered please e-mail an MP3 sample of your music to bakersfield.bod300@mybrighthouse.com. Please include your full name, a phone number and an e-mail address.
