About Thee Majestics
Direct from East Bakersfield, we proudly presents Central California's hottest oldie band, as Thee Majestics celebrate 35 years of making music, reviving old memories and making new ones. Having played in every major venue in Bakersfield, Thee Majestics are considered by many to be Central California's longest playing and most versatile performing bands. Their mixed repertoire of music has provided Thee Majestics with opportunities to open for and performed with many international recognized Grammy award winning and top musical artist who tour through Bakersfield. From the pop funk sounds of the Dazz Band, S.O.S, Sheena E.Band and Lakeside to the street urban oldie rhythms of The Midnighters, The Drifters, to the salsa beats of Malo and Tierra to the smooth contemporary harmonies of The Vogue, Thee Majestics are sought by promoters to open for these wide range of artists. With an ear for what pleases the audience, Thee Majestics have a loyal and steady following represented by a wide ethnic group and diverse demographic fan base. These days, fans bring good vibes, party and memories to Thee Majestics' shows. To the current six players, their place in the minds of fans is their sole reason for playing again after three fun decades. The original five Majestics were John Molina, Steve Candelaria, Raymond "Professor" Chavez, "Little Phillip" Villanueva and Adam Acevedo. Today,Thee Majestics include founding memebers Raymond "Professor" Chavez on drums/vocals, "Little Phillip"Villaneuva on vocal/percussian. The other members are Robert Martinez on keyboard/vocals,Steve Flores on bass/vocals,Dathan Fernandez on guitar, Toni Aguilar on trombone, Phillip Blass on trumpet and Jeff McCandless on sax.
