Hmmm what do I say here . My name is Tino and I love to write, poems and to read a good book. Day job is, "Daycare Assistant" . here is a poem /song I wrote for my dad for fathers day

Song For Dad

He sits in his chair
Thinking and alone
Reading from the book he loves
Wishing they were there

He lives in the same house
He wound up all alone
He really didnt plan it that way
Things just turned out that way

And he thinks back to his younger days
When he had dreams and plans
And he was going to save the world
One soul at a time
life got in the way of things
And he never got quite done
And he wonders where the time went
And he shakes his head and smiles

The wisdom that he has earned
He is eager to impart
But there is no one there to listen
So he guards it in his heart

He gets up from his chair
Puts the book away
Lays down in his creaky bed
And dreams about the days

He was just a young man
He had dreams and plans
He was going to save the world
One soul at a time
But life gets in the way of things
He never got quite done
He wonders where the time went
He shakes his head and smiles
