Hi everybody! My name is Norma but my nickname is Twinkie. It might sound like a silly name, but in fact... well it is. It was given to me in high school by a very dear friend of mine who passed away, so in honor of her, I kept it. I love live music of different styles from Latin rock, Raggae, Ska, Alternative, etc. I also love to travel and just hang out with my friends.
I love to find the humor in everyday life. It's my escape, I guess? In the summertime you'll usually find me by pool drinking a few and reading or just hanging out. I read a lot, actually. Always for fun, but mostly for two book clubs I belong to. I belong to Bakersfield Chicana Book Club. The name is deceiving. It's not just women, there are men in the group. And it's not just Chicanos... it's people of all races who love to read and support Chicano Authors. I also belong to an online (MYSPACE) book club called The Tuckermans. In this particular group we read whatever tickles our fancy. WHATEVER THAT MEANS! "tickle my fancy" actually sounds kind of naughty.That's not how I meant it. he.he. *If you want information about either book club just send me a message. Well, I guess by now I probably told you more than you needed to know so that's all. For now.
