The last Movie I saw was the new Star Trek movie. I loved it, great action sequences, some funny lines and great characterizations.
Karl Urban does an excellent job as Dr. McCoy, he had the manerisms down perfect, and Eric Bana as Nero plays the perfect villian.

The last film I seen was "Sex and Lucia" it was a very interesting and twisted love story. The story kept you at the edge of your seat and touched you inside deeply with emotion. The director seemed to have done a great job and the acting was superb. Overall, one of the best foreign films I have viewed.

I just recently watched a movie on In-Demand, called Blindness. This takes place in normal undisclosed city, of an undisclosed country. It looks just like a big metropolitan city in any country around the world. The movie stars Julianne Moore, Mark Ruffalo, Danny Glover and cast of possibly other recognizable character actors.
It starts out with an asian man driving in rush hour traffic, and is suddenly stricken blind. The cinematography lets us know how blind by washing out the whole screen in a white blindness, with the faint view of shadows. A man then acting as a good samaritan drives him home, but steals his car and his money. Later after avoiding a normal police road check, this man goes blind. The wife of the asian man comes home to find he is blind, she takes him to the a doctor(played by Mark Ruffalo-Air Up There, after contact and contact with more and more people, the blindness seems to be contagious. The governemnt then forces a mandatory quarantine on anybody inflicted with this blidness disease, after accidents, catastrophes and many terrible incidents that the government seem not to able to control. After government works dressed in haz mat suits start herding the the inflicted blind, we see them pick up the Doctor, the wife (Julianne Moore)has not been infected with the blindness, but pretends to go blind to be with here husband. More and more people are herded into the quarantine area, which are guarded by armed soldiers that will shoot if anyone in quarantine approaches to close to them or the gate.
You then start to see what happens when anarchy, chaos and the human will to survive happens. This is the most that provoking honest piece of cinema I've seen since A.I..
The camera lets us know how bad these people have it, the break down of the human spirit, and at the same time the rise and survival of the human spirit.
This is not an action movie, there is quite a bit of dialog, and very graphic scenes. They are disturbing, yet immensely you just can't look away.
I recommend this movie above all other blockbuster summer movies out therein years past and present.

The last movie I saw in the theater was "The Hangover". Great movie, but the concept reminded me a lil of "Dude, where's my car." where they wake up having no clue of the events that took place that night. Don't get me wrong, this movie was much better than, "Dude," by a long shot. The jokes were right on the money except a few, those that seemed forced to me to bring about the "Ewww" from the crowd. It kind of lingered some towards the end, losing steam, but it picks up again. I'll end up buying it on DVD when it comes out. And I'm pretty sure they will come out with an unnecessary unrated version too with probably 1 minute of added to shocking for theaters crap. Yeah, whatever on those...

The Bakersfield Thunder Run has been a huge success. I attended the first event 5 years ago, my wife and I both rode in on our new Harleys, it was perfect timing, but boy was it hot. My wife had to stop twice on the way to cool off with a cold drink.........Great Music, awesome customs, pretty good food and damn cold beer.
I just watched "Meet the Parents", I know its been out along time, but what a funny movie. I had to leave the room to catch my breath from laughing so hard when Greg Focker (Ben Stiller) said "you can milk just about anything with nipples!", and Jack Byrnes (Robert De Niro replied "I have nipples, Greg, could you milk me?". There are so many set ups like this one in the movie, it makes for an outrageously funny event.

"The Hangover" - I saw this, this past weekend with a friend at a midnight showing. Now usually with me there is a great chance of passing out during a movie this late at night, but with the absolute randomness these four friends take in their adventure, it kept me wide awake and even at some points shielding my eyes from not only a nude elderly man, but also a nude Asian man.
These three men accompany Doug to his Bachelor Party in Las Vegas, Stu and Phil his best friends, while Alan is his fiancée’s brother. Phil is a devious, underhanded teacher, Stu is a spineless dentist who keeps saying he's a doctor and Alan is not allowed within 200 feet of neither a school nor a Chucky Cheese restaurant. They are given the keys to Doug’s soon-to-be father in law’s prized car and set off for Las Vegas. It's a very funny movie that will not only have you laughing but also having you thinking, what the heck throughout it as they not only try to remember what happened last night but also try to find their friend Doug, who is set to be married. The cast includes Bradley Cooper (Yes Man, the Rocker), Ed Helms (The Office, Semi-Pro), Zach Galifianakis (Out Cold, What Happens in Vegas), Justin Bartha (National Treasure, Failure to Launch), and even includes a few scenes with the man himself Mike Tyson, even singing a great rendition of Phil Collins "In the air tonight"........yes simply classic. I would definitely recommend this movie to any one over the age of 18, for obvious reasons.

The most recent movie I had the pleasure of viewing, was a low-budget, first-feature-film by director Blake Reigle entitled "Beneath The Surface." The movie takes place in suburban Orange County among high school seniors. The main character is played by original Atreyu bassist Kyle Stanley, with his comic relief played by now-NAVY Seal Christian Munden. The tragic female lead is played by Dominique Geisendorf, who is murdered by her then boyfriend played by Brett Lawrence. Kyle Stanley's character befriends an anthropologist, played by Gloria Grant, and together they devise the idea of reanimating Dominique's character. Kyle and Christian work together to exhume Dominique's body from her grave in order to perform a Haitian Voodoo act that would bring Dominique back. The movie plays out while Kyle tries to help Dominique to uncover what really happened the night she dies, and in the process, find themselves at a final dance. Where Kyle can finally say goodbye to the love of his life. They end up at a concert, cameo by In This Moment. On their return to Kyles house, they are spotted by Brett Lawrence's character. At this point, Kyle and Christian are putting into motion their plan to return Dominique to the grave. When Brett comes to the house and finds out what is going on, Dominique recognises her murderer, and thus begins her deadly rampage. In order for her to finally R.I.P. She must kill Brett. Well, I basically told you about the entire move. However, I suggest you see it to really appreciate it. Two thumbs way up from me.

The last movie I saw was "Up in Smoke" by Cheech and Chong.
I actually saw this movie for the first time when it was released at The Stockdale Six movie theater.
My mom and Aunt used to drop us off at the movies while they ran amuck for a couple of hours.
I had the chance to see many classic movies due to my lack of parental supervision. Animal House was another epic one that I got to see at the Stockdale 6.
Anyhow, I just loved the crazy antics of the two goofy stoners. I most related to the beginning where Chong's parents rip into him about sending him off to military school.
I dug the ingenuity used when the smuggled in the van mad of weed, and laughed my ass of as they made Sgt Stedanko bumble over his minions.
Ultimately they end up playing in a battle of the bands at The Roxy on a toxic mix of ludes and vehicle weed.
Great movie, I give it a great big five hacks.
Get yourself some munchies and settle in to a funny mix of antics watching "Up in Smoke" by Cheech and Chong. I just had a great time, I'll bet you will too.
