NEW HOMEPAGE LOOK! MORE FEATURES!

We decided to make more room for all the cool stuff getting posted on the site, in an effort to give every Bakotopian a chance to bask in the limelight. Dig the new homepage layout! Awww yeahhh....

A really cool feature we've added is our new "Cool Blog Posts" category. To launch this great new feature, I've personally picked three of my favorite local bloggers to help kick it off!

-NL Belardes: Jack of many trades: Controversial novelist, blogger, podcaster, and scene writer!
-Bake Town: Lovable blogger who's been bakin' in town for some 30 years!
-Matildakay: Poet, novelist, and blogger with a taste for the finer things in Bako!

Periodically, these writers will post a portion of their writings on Bakotopia, then allow you to read the rest at their home site! There's something for everyone, I guarantee!!

It's a BIIIG week for music in Bakotopialand!

The CSUB Jazz Festival is back again!
Celebrating its 20th year, this year's festival is the biggest line-up yet!
Headlining the 2-Day event is the sax master who spawned a million clones..DAVID SANBORN!

The fest goes down this weekend, May 12th & 13th, so get your tickets!
Stop by the Mercado Nuevo booth and say, "Yo," to the Bakotopia.com crew and the rest of the Mercado Nuevo family! We'll be giving away T's, koozies and spreading the love in our "Lounge" Yes, that's exactly what I said. Bring friends to sign-up!

Make sure you stock up on sunblock and drink lots of water in between the wine and ice cold brew!!
