Diver Down has been rocking the local Bakersfield clubs since 1988. 

We started out with Jack Moren (Vocal/Guitar) formally of Street Legal, Joe Biaza (Bass) formally of Wide Range, Loren Smith (Lead Guitar/Vocal) of Split Image, Kim Shropshire (drums/vocal) from several local bands and Lucas Carrasco (keyboards/vocal) formally of SLO Band, Rock Steady. 

After playing several local area clubs, DiverDown became the house-band for the Chateu Basque.  After nearly two years of playing every Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings the band took a break only to reform less than a year later with a new drummer and without the talents of Jack Moren who moved to Las Vegas.  The band continued to play the local clubs that included The Tam, Moonlight, Suds, The Goose, John Bryant's and several more local clubs. Man, most of these clubs are no longer around... 

We took yet another break to start our families and careers.  Now after over 20 years, Loren Smith and Lucas Carrasco has joined up with local musicians Don Kinkade (drummer) and Tony Chavez (Bass) to bring back DiverDown and that same style of good old Classic Rock, Blues, and fun dance rock from the 60's up to today. 

Some songs are the same and some are new but all are fun and all about having a good time.  Most recently you could find DIVER DOWN playing at Chuy's and B.Ryders but look for them next year at Sports and Spirits.  The band tries to keep its performances down to a maximum of two times a month which is a far cry from three times a week like in the past. 

If you remember the days, then come out and re-live it again.  If you haven't had the chance to party with the guys, now it the time because we ain't getting any younger.
