What is it about Project Runway and my apartment complex?

In my last newsletter, I mentioned the power going out during the big panel judging. It happened again last night!

Thankfully, Bravo repeats the shows in blocks, until everyone's blue in the face. But that's a good thing, especially since I still don't know who got booted off the first show, until one of co-workers told me it was Stacey Estrella this morning!

She sucked anyway. Why bother entering a contest for fashion, when you don't even know how to use a sewing machine? Dumbdiddy dumb! The Project Runway saga continues...

On to bigger an bettererer things!

Bakotopia is bursting at the seems with bountiful Bakobits!!

Big Rey, who loves it when you, "Call him big poppa!," got his headbanging groove on at The Sik World Circus last Saturday at Vinny's. Rey called me from the event while I was at SLO last weekend, to let me know it was crazy. I checked out his photos, and he was right. There were many I couldn't post on Bakotopia, for certain "reasons," but I think from what I did post, you'll have a pretty good idea of what went on. Rey also got some great audio footage for next week's Bakotunes Podcast (Episode 33!)

Speaking of Vinny's!
One of Bakotopia's favorites, Hayes Field, will be there this weekend, along with some other cool bands, for an acoustic BBQ jam!

Very Be Careful is coming to town, next Thursday, July 27th, at Fishlips downtown! VBC plays Colombian vallenato music. The band is from LA, but hearing their music will make you feel like you were "born in the valley."
