Fine art portrait and figure drawing at its best!

_________________________________

There has got to be more pencil artists in Kern County, so where is everyone hiding? All I see at local galleries is limited to the owner/artist own work or what someone thinks the public wants to buy.

My work is very good. In fact better than just good and I know there are others out there that can pick up a pencil and do the same thing. Lets get together and see about starting a group for fine art portrait and figure drawing artist!

Perhaps if local galeries wont show our work them we need to take actionand open one ourtselves?

Any financial backer out there interested in REAL art?

How To Commission The Artist

It's Easy To Do

Simply e-mail a photo no smaller than 200dpi and a letter of introduction.
Once the photo is reviewed, you should get a response within a weeks time or sooner.

Prices are determined by size and time put into the drawing. An average price this past year has started off at $250 for an 8.5"x11" pencil drawing. A 14"x17" drawing has ran an average of $400 for a simple commissioned piece.

No drawing will be posted on this site without the persons permission.

Should the model attract the attention of the artist, it may be possible to work out a deal, allowing several drawings be drawn for the purpose of publishing and/or selling prints, with one of the originals being given to the model for payment for his time.

NOTE: A release form MUST be completed and returned prior to the artist working on any commissioned drawing. NO EXCEPTIONS!

  "Whatever"

Series Collection:
After completing a series of drawings of this friend and model we couldn't come up with a name to give the folder. With idea being rejected after another, knowing he didn't want to use his real name , he simply said "name it whatever". So WHATEVER it is.

The series you see here of him have been sent to a company in Europe are are in the process of working out a deal to sell prints and poster of the RECLINER SERIES.

The drawing listed above is currently on display at The Bakerfield Museum of Arts, now thru Sept. 11, 2006

The third in a series of three drawings, al three drawings are available for sell as a set or for display at your gallery!

What's Next?

You have the look. The pose is easy....
now to collect those photos you have and send them to me for review and possibly allowing me to draw you.

You already like the work you see here, the bodies are pleasing to the eyes, and yet there is something missing.

YOU!

I am currently in the process of working with a company in Germany that is interested in publishing my work. If the first dozen or more drawings I have already sent from this site are accepted I will need more new models to work with. I have compiled a folder already sent to me and as more arrive I will continue to review them as draw then as an interest strikes or as the subject and poses are needed.

My standard agreement is to allow me to draw a series of drawings and of that series I will GIVE you an original drawing as payment for allowing you to draw me.

OF COURSE: There have been many amateur and professional models who have started a correspondence and send me photos to draw with my payment to them or drawing. Just to have me draw them. Hey.. I am open for that any time!

Current Art Project
Started off as a drawing, I think I would rather make my first major attempt at watercolors again with this drawing of Lucas, as Shafter High School senior that just ranked 5th in the state.

I am currently looking for photos of Cowboys, Athletes, and American Soldiers, and Body Parts from both sexes (shoulders, hands, feet, etc) to draw. If you are interested in allowing me to draw from any photos you have the legal rights to, please contact me today.

Thanks again for drawing the pictures of our kids. My wife and I enjoy both the pieces. If anyone's reading this and you're considering having a drawing done you won't be disappointed..
