I don't think pot should be legal because then they'd tax the hell out of it. And nobody would be able to afford it.

I think it should be legalized and regulated the same as alcohol. Richard

Well I think Marijuana should be legalized because in some cases it is helping people with there medical illness.and I think if it's something like that, that is going to help your body medical wise then why shouldn't they legalize it.I mean it is alot safer then meth or any other drugs that are out there being passed around on the streets.I also think if it was legalized there might be alot more room in the jails instead of people being arrested for having marijuana in there possession. At least they wouldn't have to worrie about going to jail if they get caught with it.

I think marijuana should be legalized. We could get rid of a lot of uneccessary spending on the so-called "war on drugs" and earn money on it's potential taxation. Legalization would dramatically lower it's price so even with taxes it should be at a lower price anyway.

I have never done drugs myself. I think the big attraction for some kids, is the fact that they are illegal, it's a thrill and exciting to "score" so, maybe if we did legalized marijuana, this being the lesser of the few evils, then possibly the excitment would be lost. It's worth a try anyway.

I THINK MARIJUANA SHOULD BE LEGALIZED BECAUSE YOU'VE NEVER HEARD OF SOMEBODY DYING FROM SMOKING TOO MUCH WEED. IT'S TEN TIMES BETTER THAN ALCOHOL. WHO'S HAD A HANG OVER FROM SMOKING WEED THE NIGHT B4? NOT ME OR ANYBODY I KNOW THATS FOR SURE! MY MOTHERS HAVE CHRONIC PAIN AND THEY HAVE SEEN DOCTORS ALL OVER THE COAST AND ALL OF THEM HAVE SAID THE SAME THING "SMOKE WEED". IT MORE HELPFUL THAN HARMFUL.

My namew is Tom Richardson, and I use cannabis! I definately think they should legalize marijuana not only for medical purposes, but they should legalize it period! I am a card-carrying cannabis user. I have been since Dennis Peron's Cannabis Buyer's Club opened up in San Francisco back in 1991. Oh to be a rebel... I don't believe marijuana to be a societal detriment any more than I believe alcohol to be. I choose to use. I believe it should be a choice. I dig the Kottonmouth Kings who have established themselves in the cannabis culture. I don't think I can go if I don't win. Like I said, I need my weed for medicine. I am too poor to afford weed and tickets. Please oh weed Gods bless me with a winning pick! Peace Out.

The argument isn't wether or not marijuana should or should not be legalized, it's just a matter of when. It has been proven to have medicinal uses, which is more than I can say for alcohol. (I don't claim to be an expert.) In my own experiences I have found that weed is a social drug that brings people together, like it's a members only club. It unites people, you could meet a complete stranger, find out they smoke and it's like you've known eachother for years. I know right after I toke up everyone gets a live narration of my unwritten autobiography. Crime rates will also be lower upon the legalization of pot due to the fact that the entreprnueral competition over the ganja would be all but obliterated. The people who setup growhouses can put together some pretty elaborate stuff, maybe even show the military a thing or two about hiding stuff. Many carrer criminals would find themselves becoming legitimate business men: farmers, transportation engineers, distribution. It just makes good econmical sense to legalize grass. More jobs, and millions(not a statistical fact) of illegal revenue would become taxable income! I never was really any good at organizing thoughts so i'll just toss in a few more pointers: 1. It probably costs more to try to stop marijuana use. 2. It almost always reconciles disputes. (Me and my girlfriend forget why we were mad at eachother in the first place. 3.Depending on the strand it can be a natural sleep aide or sexual stimulant. 4.No nasty hangovers. 5.Less likely to speed. (Not that I condone driving under the influence. 6.Snack food sales would skyrocket as would fast food sales, encouraging economic competition to improve quality and variety of food. I'm sure I could think of more, but i've planted the seed, the growing is up to you. -Clay Beaudette
