PART 2!!! The party continues.....

With..

     AND

From Ritual to Romance, a band who have figured out the best to promote and market their music, THEMSELVES, changed the mood of the evening into an intense sonic screamo blast of rock and energy.

lead vocalist Ruben Valverde, and the rest of the band are a visual experience. Trying to bottle up the energy that these guys bring to the stage will get you nowhere. This was the first time I had ever experienced the FRTR live show.

I'd heard about the band strictly by word of mouth and seeing their name everywhere. Seriously, these guys know how to promote and market themselves.

Besides having their song, "You're a Con Artist (If I've Ever Seen One,) on the Bakotopia Music Compilation Vol. 1, the band was recently seen performing in Fresno, CA as part of the Taste of Chaos Tour with 20 Seconds to Mars, and a host of screamo / emo music's most popular bands. How did they get the gig? They worked it!! Constant promotion and gigging to get noticed paid off for the band and now, the sky's the limit. Awesome band, lots of youthful energy, and a great rep for the new sound of Bakersfield. Bravo!

Of course what night would be complete without a litlle, KROTCH!!

<<CHECK OUT THE KROTCHETTES AT THE ENCORE! YIKES!!

Ayayayyyy, these guys and gals are the new faces of sleazcore at it's lowest, just the way they like it, and if the audience reaction was any indication..the way their fans like it too!

T. Sack, who hails from England, via Taft, is the funniest character on the local scene, I mean, when he's visiting from England.

CU Downundah, who does co-lead vocals, has some of the best rockhair since Bakersfield's Steel Rage was together back in the 80's. Bassist Bobby Ball, lays down a mean bass, and has the skinny legs to complement his axe's skinny neck. Guitar shredder, Tim Inches, is the quietest of the bunch when he's not spitting licks, but keeps the rhythm locked down as T. Sack takes the lead.

Drummer, Pressed In, is one of the best rock drummers in town. I wonder how the English lads of Krotch found this guy? I heard Press In also moonlights as a radio producer for a conservative radio show by day in Bako. Hmmmm...You think there's a chance we might hear Krotch on the radio soon?  Seen next to him during their performance was Pressed In's lovely rock queen, Mrs. Rocky Nash, host of KRAB's weekly morning show!

After a guitar tragedy by T. Sack, it was time for the Krotchettes, to keep the party going for the crowd, who couldn't seem to get enough of the band.

"Krotch, Krotch, Krotch, Krotch," yelled the semi-inebriated crowd of mohawked gents and under-age gawkers...

So, of course, the Krotchettes obliged and gave the peeps a "peep" show, so to speak...

THANKS TO EVERYONE WHO CAME OUT TO THE SHOW!
