Hi, I'm new to Bakotopia and I just registered a few minutes ago. I wanted to post to see if anyone is interested in a car enthusiat meet. This is not the typical saturday night meet with the racing crowd but rather something a little different.
A few years ago I attended the Crystal Cove meet in Newport Beach which I will attach pictures of later. It was held every saturday at a shopping distrcit near Pacific 1 Highway. It was one of the best meets I have ever been to. Just to give you an idea of how diverse meet was, it had all kinds of cars from authentic race cars to classics, hotrods, exotics, imports, europeans, etc. The owners of the businesses would reserve parking spots for the car enthusiasts. Huge crowds of almost 1,000 people would show up just to check out the cars.
I'm posting this to see if anyone is interested in helping organize something like this. We could find a commercial area, have the meet every saturday in the morning from 8am to 11am. But the most important aspect should be creating a diverse atmosphere where all types of car enthusiasts are welcomed. Please post your comments/suggestions. Thanks!
