Bakersfield’s porn-rock comedy band, Krotch, have just put the final touches on a locally self-produced film entitled, “Behind The Seams,” and want you to see it no matter what the cost, or Krotch for that matter.
According to the band’s official press release posted on Bakotopia…(Just go with it, okay?)
“We are very pleased with what we have seen in pre-production of the movie and we are sure this will be another cult-classic,” said On The Rise Records President, Mr. Dick Herzt. “The band has again outdone itself in the making of this movie, the soundtrack, the storyline, all the one-liners, and undeniable humor that is Krotch. It made me very teary teary-eyed.”
The five-piece band that includes characters such as, Tee Sack - guitar and vocals, CU Down Undah - lead vocals, Tim Inches - guitar, Bobby Balls - bass, Pressed In - drums, and a group of dancers called, the Krotchettes, have been making the rounds in some of Bako’s most well-known venues, including Vinny’s, The Dome, and Jerry’s Pizza.

In June 2006, Krotch founder Tee Sack was introduced to Brandon Manning, President of Universal Media and Talent, who then took on the role of business manager and promoter of the band. From the beginning, Manning and Sack shared a vision of taking the band all over the world, and creating a documentary to show the world what Krotch was all about. One of Brandon’s other business partners, local photographer and filmmaker, Eric Swearingen, who also own E.G. Productions, was brought into the project and the team was formed!
Now, with the trio working together, the initial idea of creating a documentary grew into the monumental task of developing a full-fledged motion picture. Together they have spent the last eight months working to produce “Behind The Seams,” in their spare time.
Not only have Swearingen, Manning, and Sack created a film that rivals classics such as “Spinal Tap,” “Rocky Horror,” and “American Pie,” but they have stumbled onto a collective creative force that is unparalled, now evolving into the production and promotion company, Three Ring Circus, Inc.
FACTS ABOUT THE MAKING OF “BEHIND THE SEAMS”:
-The movie has been in production for over a year. (Most of that has been pre-party)
-Most of the footage was shot from a helicopter in and around the Bakersfield / Kern
County area.
-The band used absolutely no stunt doubles at all.
-There actually is a Krothch mansion, but we can’t disclose the location.
-No maidens, under the age of 18, were used, abused, or coerced in the “Bang the Maid”
games. (Really)
Krotch expressed “Thanks,” to all the wonderful people here in Bakersfield and Kern County areas for their help in creating the opus that is “Behind The Seams.”
“I wouldn’t want a base anywhere else here in the states,” said Tee Sack, guitar and vocalist for Krotch. “We sure have enjoyed the hospitality, food, and well…the women!
Krotch will be hosting a private V.I.P. viewing to showcase the film to potential investors on May 19th, 2007 in Bakersfield.
