I know that the police are just trying to do thier job, but this is just pure insanity. Well I have a two year old son, and me and his mom don't live together. Last night , June 22nd  at around 11:20 p.m., I had just picked up my son from his moms house. I pick him up at this time because I work a 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. shift. Anyway as I was driving down the street from her house, I noticed a cop following me. I didn't think much of it until he turned his red and blue lights on behind me. I then pulled my car right over. As soon as I pulled over I noticed that six more police cars had pulled up behind me. I knew that this was no ordinary traffic stop. The police started yelling out of there loud horn, "Put your fucking hands out of the window! Step out of the car! Keep your hands up! Walk backwards towards my voice! Get down on your knees! Don't fucking move!" As all of this was going on, I had a large police german shepard breathing down my neck, (that just couldn't wait to bite me). At least eight cops with thier guns drawn on me and my car, with my two year old son in the car. I obeyed all of thier orders and was handcuffed. I asked the officer who handcuffed me, "What is this all about? Why are you arresting me? My son, my two year old son is in the car! I just got off of work and picked up my son!" The cop just said "we will explain that to you in a little bit." Then he asked me "who else is in the fucking car?" I told him only my two year old son is in his car seat. More police were arriving on the scene. They then approached the car with thier weapons drawn, all this while my two year old son was still in the car. Moments later I saw a cop carrying my son, (who was terrified), to another squad car. About ten to fifteen minutes later a cop opened the police car door and put my son in with me, I asked him "whats going on?" he said, "I'll discuss that with you later!" More time past, then they opened the door and told me that I was not being arrested, and that an armed suspect was at the house next door to my sons moms house. They said he was driving a simular car, and was dangerous. They asked me why I was at that house I told them I wasn't at that house, I was just picking up my son from his moms house. They told me they were looking for a mexican male with tattoos on his face, and asked if I had seen him. They then took my information and let me and my son go. Can you believe that shit. What if one of thier guns had went off and shot my son in the car? Would it have been justified? Or if they shot me? Yes I know they were looking for a dangerous armed suspect. Some mexican gangbanger thug with tattoos on his face. Well herein lies the problem, I am a clean cut white guy with no tattoos. I drive a newer four door honda accord all stock, with no loud system or spinning rims or anything simular to what I see these gangbangers driving. The thing that pissed me off the most is that they did not even apolagize for the mistake. This is bull shit they pulled guns on an innocent two year old boy, and on me, who myself has never been in any trouble with the law, and I have no kind of police record what so ever. They made me feel completely hopeless like a piece of shit, pulled guns on me and my son, took my son from me, and they couldn"t even admit they were wrong. I thought about calling the local media to shed some light on the situation. I mean don't they check license plates? Don't they even look at who they pull over and draw a gun on? But I realized that telling the local media would do nothing. These cops here in Bakersfield shoot innocent bystanders and property all of the time and the local media calls it justified. So why would they care about this. What good does it do to take one gangbanger off of the street, (who will be out of jail in a year if not sooner), and kill ten innocent people in the process? Well thanks for letting me get that off my chest. I am sure there are many more stories like mine that happen here in Bakersfield everyday. I guess that is just Bakersfield law enforcement for ya.
