‘HAIR’ at the Empty Space, Bakersfield, Ca - Juy 13th, 2007

Friday the 13th was all about good luck this year, for the first official gathering of Bakotopians - theater stylee.

Twinkie and Tashkajones made reservations at Chalet Basque for the pre-Hair festivities, and then we all headed over to The Space for an evening of hippie love, music, and of course, lots of hair.

I sat front and center during the entire play to get the full experience, next to a couple of co-workers who just happened to be in the audience too - Matyldi C, and Multimedia Jen.

The incense burned and so did the numbers, and there were a lot of 'em.

Some of the outstanding vocalists included Veronica Surber as Sheila, Samantha Gonzales as Crissy, and Austin Jallo as Malcolm, to name a few.

A very ambitious production from the always entertaining crew at The Empty Space.

Bravo!

It was the shiznet. There was an air of herb in the place as I was starving when we left, lol. The pre-party at the Chalet was fun, although, Twinkie, where were the guys' gift bags???? The show was excellent and the cast was great. Kudo's for the entire Empty Space crew for the event. I think we call ourselves the Bakotopia Mafia, lol. 'Til next time...
