I know this is a little late; I just needed some time to gather up the courage and patience to do this. So please forgive me. This is the first time I have posted anything publicly. Sure I've posted blogs and bulletins on MySpace, uploaded videos and pictures there, uploaded videos to YouTube, sent emails, So here goes.
It was a beautiful Saturday morning in downtown Bakersfield. There were many people lined up on the sidewalks, standing in front of businesses and some were perched on top of buildings to watch the parade. I was there with my girlfriend and her sister. We were all there to pay our respects to our fallen heroes and our many troops fighting for our freedom past and present.
There were marching bands playing patriotic music as they passed by. Floats, classic military vehicles, fire engines, classic cars, motorcycles, and diesels were all showing support to our veterans and our troops that are overseas. Everyone seemed to enjoy the procession. There was even some interaction between the crowd and the parade participants.
. I took dozens of photos and a few videos of the parade and the crowd, here are just a few. Some of the quality is poor, sorry.
