Bakersfield Real Estate Company Lends a Helping Hand

Help-U-Sell Green Valley organizes Food Drive for the Bakersfield Rescue Mission

Bakersfield, CA 11/07/2007 – Frank Bienvenu, Owner/Realtor of Help-U-Sell Green Valley of Bakersfield, the country’s leading fee-for-service real estate franchise, organized a Food Drive for Thanksgiving for the Rescue Mission in the Bakersfield community.

The Food Drive originally began September 4^th with high expectations. We figured that the longer we ran the event, the more donations we would receive and therefore the more mouths we would feed.

Unfortunately, on October 2^nd, somebody entered the Tuff Shed located outside of our office where we were storing the donations and stole everything totaling about 4 large boxes of food. Since then we haven’t had too many donations and for the ones we do get, we have the Rescue Mission pick it up that same day.

We also have a raffle with some prize giveaways, so with every donation the public will receive a raffle ticket and the drawing will be held November 21st.

We are urging the Bakersfield Community to get involved and donate as we only have 3 days left to collect as much food as possible. You can donate Canned Goods, Frozen Turkeys, and Hams, Pies etc. Drop off time is anytime during business hours and location is at:
