If you haven’t heard of the Mixaholics: DJ Damage, DJ Oso Mighty, DJ Wreck, DJ Irony and DJ Sol, you must not get out much.
The Mixaholics are an alliance of club DJs making their mark in the club scene these days, using innovative turntable styles and techniques at various clubs in southern California.
Founded in early 2007, the Mixaholics came together to set a new standard for clubs and DJs in their vicinity.
“After hearing the top Vegas and L.A. DJs, we figured it was time to raise the bar for local DJs,” explained Damaged, who was instrumental in getting the DJ collective together. “We felt the most innovative DJs should be the ones playing at the best spots because they were puttin’ it down on the turntables, not because of politics. Moreover, we figured if we came together, our combined skills would speak for themselves.”
The Mixaholics have managed to hold down several club residencies as well as radio spots on two of central California’s top radio stations. Everything has been on the incline since inception, and will continue to grow as the Mixaholics continue their journey to worldwide recognition.
