Hey everyone, once again I was out and about in Bakotopialand covering events for you.
This time it was DJ Damage, who had a CD release party at the ultra-chic Azul nightclub in the Wall Street Alley.
Instead of rolling by myself, I enlisted the help of crazy Bakersfield Rollergirls Dezi and Wicked.
<CHECK OUT LIVE PIX FROM THE PARTY!
It started off by meeting them at Mexicali (that is a whole another story about that place,) where they were eating chips and salsa and drinking Mexicali Specials.
They finished up and we proceeded downtown to Azul. Well, Damage wasn't there yet, so we headed to my favorite haunt and second home Riley's for some quick libations.
Shortly thereafter, we got into Azul and met up with DJ Noe G and Damage. Damage took over and started to rock the place.
Of course, anyone who starts with the bassline from "Paul Revere" has got my vote. Damage spun while I took pics and Dezi and Wicked danced like there was no tomorrow.
Guys were all over them, but I kept them in check, i.e. get lost!! Well, eventually someone accused Dezi of breaking the sink in the ladies room and "security" escorted her out, dismissing her claim of innocence.
We then headed back to Riley's, then Syndicate, and the Alley Cat. As if that wasn't enough, we were ticketed where we parked in the alley behind Kosmos.
But to our surprise, the tickets were timed at 1:20 am, but we were at our vehicles at 12:30 am. Seems like BPD trying to be slick. But, they'll lose!!
So, enjoy the photos and be on the lookout for Dezi and Wicked. They are interesting if anything.
