Assuming it has to be a Crowes original, I'd have to go with "Girl From a Pawn Shop". I dig the more soulful side of the Crowes, and the B3 on the live version with the meandering guitar parts....quite nice.

Sometimes a song even a popular song can stir-up personal memories you would rather not have. "The needle and the damage done", was an obvious one. At first I didn't know "She Talks to Angels" was about the same topic when I said to myself 'that reminds me of my sister'. She's with the angels now.

I can't hear "Remedy" enough. Great song;power cords, vocals and just the great arrangement. Looking forward to seeing Marc @ the fish place.

BLACK CROWES! They are right up their as one of my all-time fav bands! Fav song as got to be "She Talks to Angels" So well written and composed It paints a picture of the somber life of an addict. The lyrics are song with lots of feeling and insight into her dark, bleek world. DAVE(Sunday Snake Oil) you did a killer cover at Amigos! On the lighter side... I never get tired of shakin' my ass to "Hard to Handle" or the playing along with the killer piano keys in "Jealous" so grant me the tix please!.... Nothing gets to me like a great guitarist!!! ~Debbie friend, fan, promoter of the Voodoo Dogs!

Okay my favorite song would have to be the title track on By Your Side. By Your Side, gives them that low down soulful sound they lacked on some of their tracks. the whole album is freakin' awesome. It's nice to see the Marc Ford can come back after all the crap. His sound made the crowes.

My favorite Crowes’ song is the classic Hard to Handle. The band’s version of this gem has a driving beat that’s just perfect, blending the funky guitars and drums with the hard rock attack of the vocals. It’s a clean and kick-ass rendition that captures the spirit and swagger of the two guys that owned this much-recorded song, two great artists, Otis Redding and Pigpen of the Grateful Dead. The Crowes kick-it down HARD.
