Matt's Downtown Double Play
2-9-08
Matt Munoz rocked with not one, but two different bands on Saturday, February 9th, at two different local hotspots.
First, he pitched in for Fatt Katt and the Von Zippers, who where playing before former "Stray Cat" Lee Rocker over at Fishlip's. Then he zipped over to Sandrini's to jam with The Dalloways for their CD release party. To say he was busy would be an understatement. He got in some practice time with The Dalloways, and even attended the 50th anniversary party of his uncle. Add to that a courtyard party at Matt's building and a shooting downtown, and it makes for an interesting night.
For the courtyard party, tenants in Matt's building were having get together and playing Guitar Hero til the waning hours of the night, so I got a few pics from there also.
As for the shooting, some idiot got kicked out of Syndicate Bar, felt slighted, and decided to shoot off a couple of rounds at the building. Luckily the only one hurt was the shooter after the bouncers from Syndicate beat the hell out of him. This happened as the usual downtown officers responded to a officer involved shooting on the east side. There were on there way back when this happened. They responded quickly, and four (that I saw) people were arrested.
