Hey, all you skaters out there! Get yourself on down to the Beale Library on Thursday, Feb. 21 at 6 pm so you can be a part of this new skatepark committee that wants to see a new skatepark built.
Do you skate a Beach Park? Do you think (know) that it's way too small and crowded, and therefore, dangerous? Then COME to the skatepark committee meeting and let your voice be heard!
At this meeting, we'll be deciding upon the design we like best, from the ones that have been submitted. We will use it to get our T-shirts printed, so we can wear them at meetings, events, competitions, etc. COME and let your voice be heard!
Also, we're gonna be talking about how we can make ourselves heard to the city officials that have the power over building skateparks in this city. Skaters, are you SICK of being hassled about skating downtown? Have you paid the fine of $250 for doing what you love to do? COME to the skatepark meeting and let your voice be heard! One way we can get adults to pay attention to us is by stating our case clearly and well. We will be writing letters to the editor of the Bakersfield Californian so that our case can begin to be made.
If you wanna new skatepark, ya gotta participate! COME to the skatepark meeting on Feb. 21 at 6 pm at the Beale Library. Be there or be square!!
