Coordinate your colors and come out to support this great cause in memory of Melissa Flores at The Nile on March 14, 2008!

Come dressed to impress and ready to party for a cure at the second annual Pink & Black Party at The Nile Bar & Grill, 1721 19th St, on Friday, March 14.
All pre-sale and door proceeds will be donated to The American Cancer Society’s Relay-4-Life. The fun starts at 8 p.m. with the DJs from Proud Entertainment Group’s hip-hop radio station 103.9 on scene to get the party started and keep the dance floor grooving all night long.
The first Pink & Black Party was created by the Dream Team, a Relay-4-Life team with ambitious fundraising goals in support of Melissa Flores, a 26-year-old Bakersfield native who was battling breast cancer. Melissa’s cousin, Christina Ozaeta, along with other members of the Dream Team, envisioned an event that would not only involve the entire community, but one that would emulate Melissa’s personality: spunky, vibrant and always ready to have fun - a themed party fit the mold.
Sadly, Melissa lost her battle against cancer in January. However, as one of her last wishes, Melissa’s Dream Team lives on. This year’s Pink & Black Party is being held in memory of Melissa Flores, and in tribute to all who have engaged in, or are currently standing strong in the fight against cancer.
Come to the party ready for a night of celebrating life! The dress code will be strictly enforced, so be sure to dress in your best pink and black cocktail attire. Availability is limited and tickets will go quickly. All guests must be 21 years of age or older. Last year’s event sold out fast, so reserve your tickets now and don’t miss out on the excitement.
