Kern County Pagan Pride is hosting a Faerie Festival, a celebration of all things fae, on March 30th from noon to 6 pm at Altar Metaphysical MarketPlace, 616 Jackson St..
Throughout the family-friendly day, myriad activities for honoring and attracting faeries will take place.
Jenn Williams will present "The Faerie Influence on Victorian Culture."
Tribal Underground Belly Dancing Troupe will dazzle with their "Homage to the Fae" dance.
Whitman Dance Studio will present a contemporary Faerie ballet.
Learn to build a Faerie Garden.
Participate in a ritual to honor and attract Faeries.
Enjoy the Faerie Tales, Art and Poetry.
Walk a Faerie Labyrinth. Construct a Faerie dwelling. Dare to step in a Faerie Ring.
Get a Faerie Reading or a Henna Tattoo.
Delight in Faerie confections.
There will music, vendors, raffles, a costume contest- a veritable feast for your Faerie senses.
$25 at the door, $20 for those in costume. Children under 12 free.
Advance tickets available at Altar for $15 until March 20th.
Kern County Pagan Pride is a newly formed chapter of the national organization, The Pagan Pride Project.
