About the cover: 'Feel My Art'

For this cover we needed something that would catch people’s attention, and what does that better than the female body?

Local Cal State Bakersfield student Malori Musselman’s “Canvassing the Neighborhood” project proved to be the perfect fit.

The concept was to simply turn the backs of friends and volunteers into bright and vivid flow-of-consciousness pieces.

To translate this work into a cover, we turned again to talented photographer Mike Lopez at M329 Photography (1524 18th St.) to help bring out the bold and the beautiful.

Thank you Malori, Whitney’s back, and thanks again Mike!
