Run Doris Run, the Subtle Way, Lorene Drive, The Higher, Breathe Carolina, Eek a mouse, A Skylit Drive, Scary Kids Scarying Kids, and of course all of the talented Bako bands. i might have a timing isue, but hey, make it work! soooooo Bako....U know it's time 2 redefine, yes, once again, the reason we call our hometown by this lovely nickname. And, when it comes to Rockin' Roots, the name applies in more ways than one! The last few days shoulda been a good eye opener to the first definition....several daze of triple digits in Mid-May??? That's good ol' Bako. The second reason, well, mah dahlings, shall be realized when the Kottonmouth Kings take the stage at Rockin' Roots a week from this Saturday...and if yer askin how Bako applies there, then you reeeeallly have not been to a Kings show. SO get yer bumm out there and for sure, you will see the definition of Bako in a new light!Till then, keep it Baked.

I'd love for Chris Isaak to pass through again, when did Weird Al quit stopping at the fair?, do you think Modest Mouse would stop and hang out like black cadillacs outside a funeral? I would like for Megadeth to come here. Slipknot would be great as well. I would also like to see the Dresden dolls live. Im sure there are fans of them here in bako. And who wouldnt love to see NIN perform here. And last but not least...Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers...one of the greatest bands of all time!! Comment From: for4saken

OK.... KC fairgrounds, All, Gen. Admission, NIN and Tool co-headline, Killswitch engage, All that Remains ETC.., and throw in a little Dropkick murphys and the mars volta for a little change up, and have about 3 or 4 locals open the show. Comment From: FAMOUSxBeE

How many times can the same KMK's, Social D's, and other like-minded bands play in the same city? There is a band called the Easy Star All Stars who do an amazing dub reggae adaptation of Pink Floyd called "Dub Side of the Moon" and Radiohead's album "Ok Computer." Another good must-have is Pepper, which is a reggae/rock band from Hawaii. I've seen Eek a Mouse at the Bakersfield reggae fest before, and seeing them again is gonna be the BOMB-dot-COM.
