Bakersfield Biker Flicks
Bako was host to a few biker films!

Angels From Hell (1968)

Tom returns home from Vietnam to resume his life. He decides to re-join his old motorcyle gang (the Madcaps of Bakersfield).

Highway 99 and Panama Lane
Kern River

"Hell's Angels on Wheels" (1967)

A young Jack Nicholson plays Poet and, along with his fellow bikers (Hells Angels), they run amok on the streets of Nevada (aka Bakersfield). But Poet soon learns that this gang may be too brutal for him.

Bakersfield Location Highlights:
Downtown 19th Street (pictured)
The old amusement park at Hart Park
Panorama Bluffs
Pioneer Village (where the gang has their own "brews in the village")
Desert Star Motel (South Union)

“Any Which Way You Can” (1980)

Philo (Clint Eastwood) and his orangutan Cylde are back for another zany adventure in this sequel to “Every Which Way But Loose.” This time they have to save Clyde’s orangutan girlfriend from the fictional Bakersfield Zoo. This may not be a biker flick per se, but a comic relief motorcycle gang called The Black Widows is featured throughout.

Wienerschnitzel (on Union and California)

THE SIMPSONS - HELL'S SATANS

I know this is not a movie, but I’m still going to mention it. In the “Take my wife, Sleaze” episode of “The Simpsons,” The Hell’s Satans of Bakersfield crash at the Simpson household.
