John Madden did it? Zoinks!

It’s finally coming! It’s almost here! You know it — the “Maddenflu”!
When planned strategically, some lucky gamers get an unofficial “Maddenholiday” or “Maddenstaycation.”
That’s right! It’s “Madden Time” boys and girls. This is a title that can sell over 2 million copies in one week. And depending on what level of “Maddenflu” hits, you might be laid up at least three months to a year glues to your game console.
Draping the cover this year is the “retired-unretired” Hall of Famer quarterback Brett Favre. Favre joins a list of Madden NFL cover boys including: Garrison Hearst, Dorsey Levens, Eddie George, Daunte Culpepper, Marshall Faulk, Michael Vick, Ray Lewis, Donovan McNabb, Shaun Alexander and Vince Young.
A Maddenfactoid: In Dec. 2004, EA and the NFL signed an exclusive five-year deal for an estimated $400 million. That’s why there is no more $19.99 2K Sports “ESPN Football.” Remember that game? I thought it was a better football game myself…
Anyway ... enjoy the “Maddensickness.” Here are some upcoming releases:
