Bakersfield Communty Theatre Playhouse will conduct open auditions for David Rabe's Tony Award nominated drama
IN THE BOOM BOOM ROOM.
The surreal drama focuses on Chrissy, a used and abused Go-Go dancer trying to find her identity, a career and love on Philadephia's mean streets of the mid 1960's. The drama is for mature audiences and features an ensemble cast of 12, including 3 dancers who are also characters in the play. Also being sought is a choreographer who is familiar with the go-go dances of that period, The Mashed Potato, The Pony, The Jerk, The swim, The Frug, the Monkey, etc.
There are roles for six women and six men ranging in age from mid 20's to late 50's .
Audition dates: Sunday Aug. 17th 5-7 PM, Saturday
Aug. 23rd 12-3 PM and Monday Aug. 25th 6-8 PM
at Bakersfield Community Theatre Playhouse
