In an effort to encourage the growing music scene in Bakersfield, ASR Studios will begin hosting open mic nights for songwriters starting this Tuesday, August 26th. These nights will be open to the public whether you are an amateur, professional writer, artist, or just someone who appreciates great new music. ASR Studio's stunning new 'Studio A' will hold the events including a sound system set up with several mics and a keyboard for you convenience.
The open mic night is free to attend and/or perform, and performances will be available on a first come, first served basis.
We are currently working on live webcasts of the events in the very near future in order to enable local musicians to braoded their audience. We will keep you posted on our progress. In the mean time, we will be recording the performances, and CD's of your performance will be available for a small fee. Get there early and bring some friends and let's see what Bakersfield song writters have to offer!
