I am going to keep this simple. If you don't come to the Nile this Tuesday, there's something wrong with you!
You're reading this because you like jazz. Now, if you like jazz, you aren't going to hear any better jazz in the Valley than you will this Tuesday. We are going to have a fantastic featured act, the Bakersfield Jazz Workshop's musical director himself, former Tower of Power soloist, the one, the only, Mr. Paul Perez.
Paul's bio is so extensive, I'm not even going to TRY to write about it in this newsletter - it's so big, the email server would probably blow up! Instead, I'm going to refer you to these links, and you can read it for yourself. And when you're done, check out the music videos below too, including some rare footage of Paul playing soprano sax!

And before I forget, let me remind you of the terrific BJW benefit concert coming up on October 18, featuring the legendary jazz guitarist, Kenny Burrell. (And the opening act will be the BJW's Jazz Youth Orchestra, directed by Steve Eisen!)
Check out the attached flyer and Kenny's Myspace page: http://www.myspace.com/kenn...
Tables and tickets are going fast - hurry and reserve yours soon!
