The family that plays together stays together.

Join the Miehi’s on Friday November 7th live in the lounge at Randolph’s from 9 until midnight for some Tidal Wave music.  There is not a cover in the lounge so you do not have an excuse.

Richard Miehi was born and raised in Chicago, IL.  He began playing guitar at age 13 and he was soon playing clubs all over the country. In the late 60’s he landed in Los Angeles and continued to write and play music heavily. In the early 70’s Richard met Georgia. Georgia was born and raised in Scottsbluff, NB. She received her BA in Journalism and was in Los Angeles pursuing a career in advertising. They started playing music together and soon married and had a daughter, Jeriah. They started a small recording studio in Silver Lake, CA while continuing to compose, play and record music together. Patsy Miehi, a high school friend of Georgia’s from Scottsbluff, then moved to Los Angeles and joined Georgia and Richard. They began to play at a variety of clubs such as The Whiskey A Go Go, The Palomino, and even tried out for the Gong show.  With the birth of Adonae in 1980, the trio decided their club days were over and resorted to performing at home and recording.

In 1986 the Miehi’s moved from Los Angeles to the rural mountain community of Twin Oaks located an hour east of Bakersfield. Jeriah began to show an interest in music and began to write and record her own original music. It was at this time that Patsy learned how to play to bass guitar while teaching 4th grade at Fairfax Elementary School in Bakersfield, CA. The Miehi’s also joined the St. Josephs Choir in which they were members for several years.

As Adonae reached her teen years, she took an interest in chamber music.  She was a member of the Foothill High School and Bakersfield College Chamber choirs, as well as several other Honor Choirs. She also quickly leaned how to play the acoustic guitar.

Flash forward to 2000: Richard, Georgia and Patsy continued to play music together. Jeriah began to sing with them on a regular basis. A few years later, Adonae joined in on guitar and vocals.  She also brought with her own original music with her.

In 2006 Adonae, Jeriah, Richard, Georgia and Patsy, aka the Miehi’s, started playing their unique blend of original songs that they refer to as Tidal Wave Music and their own original spin on some adult contemporary covers. They have played events such as Relay for Life and the Kern County Fair.
