The Bakersfield Jazz Fest! really has become one of the true Bakersfield institutions. I have never had the chance to attend due to lack of time, funds, or both. I have many friends who have had the pleasure of either attending or working at this event. All of them rave about the music, the atmosphere, and the sheer fun of the event. I would love to have the chance to go enjoy this event with my wife for once. As a recent CSUB graduate I have been trying to go to more and more of the wonderful events which are held on the campus of our local university. Bakotopia always come through with such great oppertunities for the local events and for the local crowd. Thanks for your two years of AWESOMENESS! Comment From: dkrogers

Well since I am totally NEW to Bakersfield, and I have asked every NEW person I meet what's happening in town for new people like me. I would love to see you do an article for those of us NEW to town or even for those who are so OLD they just cant get outta the house. I love Blues, Jazz, ART, RV-ing, camping. Make an article that covers events such as these for the NEWEST of Bakersfieldians (or NEW Bakotopians). I would love these tickets to LET ME ENJOY WHAT THIS TOWN HAS TO OFFER! Thanks again. Since this magazine article is all about Bakersfield and stuff that happens around here then why not have people draw the next cover of the issue! I mean do you know how many people there are that is talented here in bakersfield and suuure wont mind having their work displayed on this awesome magazine? And if the front cover is too much then just make it into a page in their....have people send in drawings and reasons why they love drawing or reasons why they love bakotopia! Maybe a lil drawing of matt eh? bow chika bow wow! lolol But yeah i lovve this idea my guys. =] Hopefully you'll take it into consideration. If not i have another one for ya, how about you post up a list of places where you think its best to take summer vacations. It would be a hell of a lot easier for some who dont have the internet.
