The weekend was a huge success!
We were able to PARTY WITH A PURPOSE!
It was on at The Player’s Lounge with the sista from anotha mista…KRISTA!
Friday night, Chamber 9 started off the weekend with some Hard Core, Melodic Vocals as their lead guitarist shredded his guitar with killer riffs. Make no mistake this is more than just an “opening band”. The boys were able to make the gente move something. This was my first time catching these guys. I never heard of them before, but they were a tasty treat for a Friday night.
The brothers from “Sin City” Las Vegas EDEN ROOTS took the floor and set the pace with their unique reggae/ska/cumbia flavor. At one point Chuy, Damas, and Jorge from LIKHY2, and yours truly joined EDEN ROOTS to mix it up with whatever instruments were available. It was a FREESTYLIN potpourri of Latin Desmadre!
The following day, Alex, lead singer of EDEN ROOTS and their percussionist, Marcos, joined LIKHY2 at a Private Reventon to continue making the cause worth while. More toys were donated by the Latin Bakotopians of Kern County. Check it out….
