2007 at The Nile!

With the arrival of autumn and the communities holding festivals when the crops are gathered in, trees turning yellow and orange, nights getting colder and longer, our thoughts turn toward rememberance of the dead.

On Friday, November 2nd, "El Dia De Los Muertos" (the Mexican Day of The Dead,) will be held at The Nile (1721 19th, in downtown Bakersfield.) This will be the 13th Day of The Dead Celebration in Bakersfield!

The event will run from 12noon-10pm, and is free for everyone, and all ages! Bring the whole family!

Art! Food! Music! Culture! Dancing! Poetry! Spoken Word! Fashion Show!

**For those interested in displaying altars, artwork, poets submitting items for the "Calaveras" newsprint, requesting ads or information in general, please call, 345-5842. Help is always welcome in the effort to beautify and improve the quality of life in Bakersfield... - Cruz Ramos (organizer)
