No, I have no political agenda or hidden message to takeover your mind with red, white and blue - just stating a simple fact.

I’ve had friends who’ve dreamed of “living in France,” or a “flat in London.” Sounds great, especially if you’ve spent your life watching cool foreign films, where things seem cool, and always fashionable. Wrong ... they’re movies!

One of my friends finally realized there’s no way they’d ever live outside the U.S. after a week overseas - they’d miss too much. Think about it - wide open spaces, California sun and FREEDOM. Don’t forget nachos and ranch dressing - both American creations!

“Summer Madness” and freedom are the themes of this week’s issue, and what I’m thankful for. Let’s start with the dual cover shots by photographer Holly Carlyle, featuring the American beauty of Brenda Huckins. If page 2 doesn’t make you say “God Bless America,” check yourself.
