There is a HUGE double standard in America when it comes to race. When I check that ethnicity box at the Dr. I write in American. Our race is American, not African American, Mexican etc. My friends who would be called "Mexican" haven't ever been to Mexico nor speak Spanish and were born in America. My friends that would be called "African American" haven't ever been to Africa do not speak any African language, but some people try to force this politically correct notion calling them something they aren't. I am German, but i do not call myself German- American. I am an American.
The president also sought to dodge a racial controversy the holiday, sending wreaths to a monument for Confederate soldiers and a memorial honoring more than 200,000 blacks who fought for the Union during the Civil War.
i don't think i would ever get away with sending 200,000 wreaths to a group of only white people. I believe its his right to send wreaths to whoever he wants to. But my point is, would say G. Bush get away with it? My answer is probably not. So why is it ok for some people to do and not ok for others to do?
