Yellow I thought of Switzerland as well I don't think the "natural progression" there is communism at all. they are able to maintain what they have. Very intelligent I might add staying out of every body's wars too.

Thank you for trying to educate me on the nature of all things libertarian, socialist, communist, Switzerland (which hasn't made the "natural progression" to communism yet, although I guess it's a forgone conclusion that it will.)

Communism is a natural progression of Socialism, but I was just using Communism as a point maker. I didn't really connect that very well. But the problem is anyone who gets overzealous without concern for whether what they are doing is truly helpful. I like a lot of liberal ideas, but I absolutely despise how they get implemented. Especially through liberal politicians. To them, you are just a useful idiot, and as long as you are disadvantaged in some way, they can rally you to meet their own goals of the same corrupted and damning political state. We are already partly socialist when it comes to many things, and if done right it could be pulled off well. Universal healthcare for children I am completely for. But you need the private sector offer to counterbalance the government option.

Well Slim Shaney you have it almost right in all you say here I agree the policies and standard as reflecting of out pathetic me me me I want i want now now now. generation. Greed has fueled all of this. and will always that's where there is no PERFECT form of government. Communist are Evil Godless Dictatorship Socialism take money out of our pockets and Capitalism is greed personified. so that's 2 governments deal with issues of giving and taking money and the third of taking and not giving anything back. We can't seem to govern our selves properly because when we have too much freedom we go hog ass wild and go to some sort of excessiveness. We all know the root of evil is the LOVE of money. Right now we have civil unrest and we profess to be a Capitalist Society. I don't think it's the Politics breaking down. I think it's the people. Capitalism societies work if you can have some sort of self discipline and it seems our nation just can't manage that these days. It's sad. Our nation as come this far almost 300 year and we are killing our nation over our sick desires to have more. We want more money , less work, and more time off. If not that then we have 3 jobs because we want more crap we can't keep with just one. I love my country but in these times,..we have no back bone or work ethic.

Libertarians do not believe in anarchy where there is no government to enforce the laws of the land. Libertarians actually believe the government should protect the interests of the American people (U.S. constitution) not to infringe on our personal freedom. The government is employed by us and the government should work for us. Our government is dictating our lives and how we should live according to their own agenda and not how the American tax paying citizens want to live. Socialism is not the answer for America's economic crisis and socialism eventually turns into communism. The crisis here in America originated from the past and present government officials who interfered with corporate American policies and standards. Capitalism is the most proven and effective platform for any nation to stand on. Socialism promotes extreme government control and social unrest that leads to communism and oppression.

It's interesting that we as a Capitalistic REPUBLIC have gotten our ideas from other forms of government from the founding fathers. I suspect we might if we delve deeper find that we might have ideas in government that cross political lines. I suspect the best form of government is what we have now, but actually follow it to the letter as intended . But I also think other forms of government would work within our politcal processl like "Socialism -Lite", so to speak. I know sounds crazy, and a lot of people that are Ultra Conservatives extreme right wingers would shake in their boots. We also have to be mindful of extreme politics of one side or the other. a delicate balance is what is needed. What I suggest is what we do best in this country. Take something and make it our own. Worked with pizza. If we had not "played' with the recipe a bit we wouldn't have deep dish, Chicago style,..etc. I know it's a bit scary to compare the two but i think most of you know what i mean. I think the two part system will either limp on and be like a dog that's been hit on the side of the road. or it will go away. The limping dog should be put out of it's misery, but then again you wouldn't have two parties pissing bitch and whining about the other and people just love to bitch. Problem is nothing ever changes

I can see the ad now being played in Mexico that promotes immigration to the US, where everything is FREE and the Government will have all the answers and a welcoming basket waiting for them, with the view of the scenic "public beech" in the background!

And there will always be someone at the top who becomes corrupted. Capitalism needs to be reigned in because mass consumerism is detrimental to both our environment and psychological well being in general. Socialist aspects may help to reign this is, but there needs to be a free market alternative for those who wish to opt out of the system. You have two races going on here, one for the preservation of a bastardized capitalism and one for the sickly empathetic socialism. But maybe together it could fill in the gaps that alone they can not fill. Let's have a bi-racial baby!
