I turned 43 last Friday (the 13th).
I remember when I turned 16. I couldn't wait back then to be in my 30s. I thought when I turned 30 or 35, I'd have everything figured out.
I'd have a great career, I'd be in love, I'd have a car that actually ran, I'd be confident and savvy about the world.
Well, 35 has come and looooonnnnng gone.
When does all that confident/savvy stuff kick in?
I still feel like I'm writing with crayons and the rest of the world's got a Treo.
Sigh.
Oh, and how do you post more photos on these sites?
Anyone? Anyone?

No strippers, Olivia! We'll have a pinata instead.
yea I remember you were getting pretty toasted on your birthday! driving around in a big hummer limo! I didn't even get that when I was 30!! In fact, the only limo I have been in is the one for a funeral!!
I can't even remember what I was doing on my 35th B-day. (and NO not because it was so long ago!) because I was HAMMERED!
and why didn't you organize some limo ride with ALL OF US to paso for your b-day?!!
for my bday, i had dinner with my family and some friends.. Sofia was there... she was really sick but she showed up anyways...
Oh but I got a flat tire on the way there and my sister sophie gave me a lift from the flat-tire location only to almost get run over by another crazy driver!
that was the highlight of my b-day... i didn't get drunk.. i didn't dance on any tables... i didn't get into some alley cat fight.... and i didn't sing my heart out at some bar thinking i knew how to sing when i really don't...
my life has become boring!!
Happy Belated Birthday Lois. You look great for 43, I thought you were 35 :)
Paso Robles, Oh how I miss Paso..If you want someone to share that wine call me.
Yikes, that is STINKIN' OLD!!!
Ha!
43? wow! When you were born was the wheel invented? Just kidding. Actually I'm repeating one of the many things my 7 and 8 year old ask me. And they aren't kidding when they ask. They honestly think I'm THAT OLD! ha. I think, "When you were a little girl, was t.v. invented?" is another question they've asked me.
I can honestly say that although getting old sucks, it beats the alternative!.
That's sad when your mom pretty much knows you're home in bed by 10 p.m.
I think SHE's out later than me nowadays!
But wait, I STILL DON"T HAVE A TREO!!!!!!!
(was I this whiny when I was 16?)
And Happy B-day to you. What did you guys do?
Larry and I went to Paso Robles for the day and hit TEN (10!) wineries!
So we have lots of wine to share.
But I am confused -- you got a great career, a great hubby, some great lovable friends and dogs.... plus you got a cool Toyota truck and you're in GREAT shape! I am jealous! I turned 35 and yes, I have a Treo but you still kick my butt in running!
