 First off, they don't use arc welders in the future and you wouldn't use them to build a fuckin' starship.
Also history of star trek, JJ Abrams needs to look it up. Enterprise was built at the Mars Ship yard in fuckin' space!  Large starships are built in space not on a planet. WTF?!
Even the first Enterprise shown being finished up in the Star Trek Enterprise series was built in space, it was built above Earth which is still wrong in Trek History, but hey they at least built it in spacedock in space above Earth.

Also did anyone else feel the trailer was a bunch of propaganda bullshit?
Original Star Trek/Federation was an Earth wide effort. Earth being united. This is some USA go america bullshit in this lame ass trailer. They only had sound bites from American space ventures. America isn't the only country in space. They are turning the Trek into NASA/USA crap, when it's supposed to be the uniting of Earth and venturing of man into the final frontier. Not fuck other countries only Americans into space. What kind of shit was this?

At first I was really excited for the new Star Trek movie now i'm starting to think they fucked up with the new Star Trek.

Fuck i'm a Trek nerd. I even have the whole entire Enterprise series in HD on my computer so I can watch it whenever I want. I was thinking about downloading all of Voyager too. Maybe even downloading all of TNG as well. The original series I can't sit and watch alone. I have to watch it with somebody or I get bored. I like to have someone around who will make fun of the cheesy effects with me.
