Backstage downtown.

Ask the local kids about the Backstage and they will tell you, “it’s a great place to hang out and enjoy music“. Finally a place for kids (and adults) to enjoy awesome music, friendly and helpful staff, oh and it’s cheep. None of those high priced tickets here, it’s geared for the “real” people budget. Backstage is located at in Downtown Bakersfield, on the corner of 20th and M right behind Mad Dog Tattoo, and is an all age venue. There is no alcohol served at the Backstage, so parents can feel comfortable that their kids have a safe place to hang out.
There is always a variety of music playing, it’s a kick ass place for local bands to be noticed, and a fantastic spot to check out touring and upcoming sounds. Hundreds of bands have rocked out the Backstage, and it keeps on rockin'!
There is plenty of room for moshing, head banging, and what ever makes you move.
